Departmental Profile:
The
Department of English in Assam University Diphu Campus came up
in July 2007 with two Lecturers has four faculty members at
present : 1 Professor, 1 Reader and 4 Assistant Professors .The Post
Graduate Course focuses on Traditional and Contemporary
Theoretical Developments in the study of literature, American
and British English Literature, Indian Writing in English,
Shakespeare Studies, English Language Teaching and the Structure
of English, etc. A Basic Course in German as Add-on Course is
under process. Research work (Ph.D) has been started from 2010
January. The Department faculty actively engage in career
counseling.
