Departmental Profile
The Department of Assamese, established in 2010 in Assam University at Diphu Campus offering post graduate program in Assamese from the session 2010 and Research programme from 2013. The syllabi of the program incorporates both traditional and non-traditional course keeping in view of the rising demands in various fields like Literature, Language, Comparative Literature, Culture, translation, advertising and so forth. The Department also envisages the introduction of various career-oriented courses in Assamese as well as planned to set up a language laboratory.
