Dr. Ambedkar Centre of Excellence (DACE-AUS)
The Ambedkar Centre of Excellence (DACE) has been established at Assam University, Silchar under the umbrella of Dr. Ambedkar Foundation (DAF), Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India, in April 2022. The very purpose of the Dr. Ambedkar Centre of Excellence, Assam University of Silchar (DACE-AUS) is to coach 100 Schedule Caste Students by providing the best and free coaching facilities for Civil Services Examinations conducted by Union Public Service Commission.
Vision
To establish a model centre of Excellence in the field of education and to facilitate a quality support platform for Scheduled Castes Students.
Mission
To create a repository of resourceful opportunities to learn, imbibe, compete and succeed through honing skills related to adaptation, judgment, and informed choice in the aspirants.
Objectives
The main objective of the centre is to empower Scheduled Caste students by providing high-quality free coaching facilities for the Civil Services Examination conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC).
Scope and Coverage
DACE will provide specialized coaching ONLY to the Scheduled Caste students for the Civil Services Examination conducted by the UPSC.

Programmes
- Programme of UPSC Civil Service Preliminary Examination (Programme Code-CSPE)
Syllabus: As per UPSC syllabus for Preliminary Examination both Paper – I (General Studies) and Paper-II, CSAT (Aptitude Test).
Programme Duration: 5 months (Regular Classes: 4 months, and Test Practices :1 month)
- Programme of UPSC Civil Service Main Examination (Programme Code-CSME)
Syllabus: UPSC syllabus for General Studies –I (Paper-II), General Studies II (Paper-III), General Studies-III (Paper IV), and General Studies –IV (Paper V), and Optional Subjects (Paper VI and Paper VII).
Programme Duration: 5 months (Regular Classes: 4 months, and Test Practices: 1 month).
- Interview/Personality Test (Programme Code-IPT)
Duration: 2 months.
